We only use anonymised data for monitoring. Monitoring for us means that we observe crashes and app performance ("Which countries use our app?", "Which features are popular?", "When is the app used the most?" – questions like these). It is all about providing a better quality of our services.
We do not track or demand personal data. We will never ask for personal or sensitive information. If someone asks for it in our name, it is fraud.
Information about completed purchases for this app is used to provide proper app functionality.
If you choose to use our service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy.
For monitoring, we use Firebase. Firebase is a platform that provides different tools. We use:
- Analytics
- Crashlytics
- Log Data
Firebase is part of Google. Google also uses the data to improve its services and to analyse trends.
Analytics provides different information, such as when and where the app is used, what is used, and how many people in which countries use this app. We use this to get a better understanding of school cycles, the impact of our app translations, and which math topics really matter.
Crashlytics shows when a crash occurs, on which device and operating system, and sometimes which part of the code malfunctions. This helps us to fix the app when it is broken due to sloppy programming or when something about the iOS system has changed (new devices, new operating system).
Log Data are mainly used to check if and how some features are used, such as "How often was the history function clicked?."
Some data are stored on your device, like your history of calculations or some internal counters that are required for the app's functionality. These are removed as soon as you delete this app.
Some important data (like the amount of tokens) will be stored on your device's keychain. These data remain when the app is removed. The reason behind this is that tokens are costly for you, and this data storage ensures that you won't lose any value you have paid for if the app is removed by accident. The data cannot be transferred to other devices and does not survive a device reset.
Our video tutorial feature is linked to YouTube. When you leave this app by one of those videos, you will be forwarded to your web browser, which opens YouTube. Make sure you want to accept the terms of use and the privacy policy of YouTube. This is beyond our control.
Other links in our app either forward you to other apps from Glindemann, Sennoun, Langer GbR. If they are installed, the linked apps will be opened. If they are not installed, you will be forwarded to the App Store page of the linked app.
There are also options to join us on Discord. This opens the website of Discord or opens Discord as an app (if installed). Discord is not part of our app. Make sure you want to accept the terms of use and the privacy policy of Discord. This is beyond our control.
